Ian Hutchison Wedding DJ is based in Stenhousemuir, Larbert near to both Stirling & Falkirk. I provide a professional, reliable and friendly DJ entertainment service. With my passion for music and appropriate DJ technique I develop a full personalised playlist and create the perfect atmosphere. I believe I am Central Scotland’s Premier Wedding DJ.
Because of my location I am ideally situated for covering Central Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh, due to it’s convenient location at the heart of Scotland’s motorway network.
Ian Hutchison is a proactive member of the NADJ (National Association of DJs) . This means best business practices are always adhered too, to give you full peace of mind. In an unregulated industry the NADJ encourages honesty and integrity among its members. I abide by a code of business practice that governs the way I choose to do business. In short this is with openness, honesty and professionalism. So you know you are in good hands!
Background
My name is Ian, 53 years old. I have 2 children, 1 stepson and a gorgeous granddaughter. I got married to my gorgeous wife, Lisa just over a year ago after having to delay due to covid. I even done a short DJ set at our wedding reception….
By day I am and IT, Systems & Infrastructure Manager for Active Stirling. I have been working for Active Stirling for over 17 years and I love my job. I also love music and started DJ’ing way back in the 80’s when I was just a youngster…
Experience
As I said above, I started DJ’ing back in the 80’s when I was a teenager. I had always shown an interest for music from a young age. I bought some equipment when I was 19 and started the Ace of Clubs mobile disco. I learned the trade covering birthdays, engagements, weddings, school discos and corporate events around the Stirling and Bannockburn area. Then my daughter came along and I had to hang up the headphones and drop the mic for a while and concentrate on my children.
I returned to DJ’ing with DJ Boomtastic Mobile Disco based in Stenhousemuir and continue under this brand to this day. I have, however appreciated the importance of a good DJ at your special day, hence Ian Hutchison Wedding DJ was started. I am Central Scotland’s Premier DJ Entertainer and won an outstanding award for my DJ services to weddings in 2021, then actually won the award in 2022. I’ve been a finalist the past 2 years at the confetti awards, and just recently been notified by the international wedding awards that I have won the Local Rounds winner for my DJ Services.
